Q. Who was your favorite player growing up?

A. Ryne Sandberg.

 

Q. What positions did you play in high school?

 A. Shortstop and pitcher.

 

Q. Why did you decide to go to college after being drafted by the Brewers after high school?

 A. Because I was close to home and I grew up an Alabama fan. Also, the offer from the Brewers wasn’t that good.

 

Q. What went through your mind when you were drafted by the Yankees?

A. I was excited. The Yankees were the last team I had expected to draft me, but being drafted by them with all of their traditions, was exciting.

 

Q. What was your experience like in the Minor Leagues?

 A. It was unique. There were a lot of ups and downs. I was able to play well and I spent a lot of time down there; so, it was a great learning experience.

 

Q. Who is the funniest teammate you have ever had?

 A. Ruben Sierra.

 

Q. What has been the best moment of your career so far?

 A. Going to the playoffs.

 

Q. What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

A. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.
